The season officially opens with a symphonic spectacle featuring Orchestra London's very own stars! Brand-new Maestro Alain Trudel conducts his first concert of the season. Violinist Mary-Elizabeth Brown and Violist Kelvin Enns play Mozart's beloved Sinfonia Concertante, the Brass section sparkles with Gabrielli fanfares; and Maestro Alain Trudel will lead Shostakovitch's brilliant 9th symphony, where every player in the orchestra is a virtuoso! Come out for a glorious evening of music-making!

Sibelius' captivating 2nd Symphony completes this truly inspirational program.

Folk Dances [DEC. 3/2011]

At the heart of many of the best known orchestral works are the incredible collection of folk dances preserved and showcased by such greats as Sibelius, Bartók and Dvořák. Guest conductor Tania Miller takes us on a tour of folk music by all three composers as well as Brahms' Hungarian Dance & the Orchestra London premiere of Smetana's Sarka.

Celebrate concertmaster Joseph Lanza's 25th season with Orchestra London!This concert, in Joe's honour, features Haydn's 7th Symphony, (the first piece he performed with Orchestra London!), and two of his all-time favourites: Vaughn Williams' serene and idyllic Lark Ascending, and Ravel's demonic show-piece Tzigane (gypsy). Conducted by Alain Trudel, this exciting night of music also includes music by Mendelssohn and Haydn.
