Orchestra London’s Administrative Leadership Team consists of:

Timothy Vernon, Artistic Director
Orchestra London is proud to have one of the best conductors in Canada on our staff. Our Music Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Timothy Vernon, is a familiar figure on the podiums of Canada’s most important orchestras and opera companies. Maestro Vernon also continues his role as Artistic Director of Pacific Opera Victoria, a post he has held since that company’s inception in 1980. Timothy has led over 40 of its 50 productions including the first staged Canadian presentations of L’amore dei tre re and Weber’s Der Freischütz. He has also led Fidelio, produced for TV and broadcast by the PBS and CBC networks. As well, he has conducted Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, heard on CBC Stereo’s Saturday Afternoon at the Opera.

Internationally renowned for his work with young musicians, Timothy led the McGill Symphony Orchestra in acclaimed performances of Mahler’s Symphony #5 in Montreal. Previously, Maestro Vernon has conducted the McGill Orchestra in acclaimed performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Roy Thomson Hall, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Le Grande Theatre de Quebec, and Montreal’s Place des Arts.

Of special note was his last performance with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, conducting Ben Heppner and Pinchas Zukerman in a concert seen on television worldwide. READ MORE.
