London's traditional holiday Pops concert is back! Begin
the season in style as London's newest singing star and
runner-up of Bravo's Bathroom Divas, Sonja Gustafson, performs
classic Christmas melodies including O Holy Night and
Gesu Bambino with Jeff Christmas conducting some of his own
stunning orchestral arrangements.
Welcome the New Year with a trip to Old Vienna. Conductor
Timothy Vernon leads a musical tour though the rich cultural
traditions of this European capital with offerings by Franz
Lehar and Johann Strauss featuring soprano Frederique Vezina and
tenor Kurt Lehmann.
Violinist
Sigmar Martin and violist Kelvin Enns take centre stage as
Orchestra London shines the spotlight on two of its principal
musicians. Brian Jackson conducts.
The music of
the silver screen comes to life as conductor David Martin
leads the orchestra in this concert of Hollywood's most
memorable tunes from films like "Field of Dreams," "Mission
Impossible" and "A Beautiful Mind."
Gary Guthman
returns to the Pops stage to pay tribute to the trumpet greats
in this jazz-inspired concert conducted by Brian Jackson.
With music of Rafael Mendez, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong,
Harry James, and more, you won't want to miss this concert.
