Building on the overwhelming response to Tosca, Orchestra London and Pacific Opera Victoria join forces once again at London's Grand Theatre for Giuseppe Verdi's musical and dramatic tour de force, Rigoletto, starring Theodore Baerg.

Rigoletto is the tragic story of a hunchback court jester who falls prey to his master's wicked prank. Secrets and seduction soon form a deadly combination, and a courtier's curse is realized when Rigoletto discovers that his treasured daughter has sacrificed herself for the love of his tormentor.

Based on the play by Victor Hugo, Rigoletto is studded with some of Verdi's most celebrated arias and ensembles including "La donna e mobile" and the tender Act III quartet. An enduring favourite for 150 years.

Orchestra London subscribers get pre-ordering privileges when Rigoletto goes on sale in the fall of 2005.
